Challenge
The main challenge was the complete absence of the watch on set. This required a full 3D reconstruction to integrate it seamlessly into the live-action footage. The shoot also involved complex blue screen setups and fast-paced drone sequences following the Luna Rossa boat, which made synchronization between real footage, reflections, and CGI elements particularly demanding.
Solution
We developed a detailed 3D model of the watch, matching every lighting condition and camera movement captured on set. Through precise compositing and color grading, the CGI watch blended naturally into the environment. The drone shots and dynamic camera work were then aligned in post-production to enhance the sense of realism, energy, and connection to the sea that defines both Panerai and Luna Rossa.
